Whitefield School


Whitefield Secondary School was established in 2037 B.S with a commitment and clear vision to provide quality education to students in order to prepare them to be globalized students. It is a co-educational institution functioning under the management of Raktakali Education Foundation (REF).

At Whitefield, we instill knowledge and skill to propagate good culture, character and behavior in our students. We inculcate and develop philanthropic notion in their growing minds by engaging them in various social activities inside and outside school. We also make them independent and develop curiosity of knowing the unknown by assigning them various research oriented activities and project works, thereby instilling leadership quality in them.

Academics


Our school provides students with a broad and balanced knowledge of key subjects, as well as effective critical thinking and communication skills.We strive to achieve excellence in learning both within and beyond the classroom through thes best practices which we have developed in our school. Various research oriented activities are carried out by students under the proper guidance of teachers of respective faculties. Such activities help in generating interest in students in their studies and transplanting the theoretical aspects of their learning into practice.

The academic session begins in Mid- April (the first week of Baisakh) and is completed by the third week of March of the following year (the second week of Chaitra). The academic session is divided into four terms, and each term ends with the conduct of the terminal examination.

Co-curricular Activities


For the all round development of the children, reading, writing and knowledge of Mathematics and IT alone will not be adequate. Physical, mental and emotional development of the children is equally significant. Therefore, we lay great emphasis on co-curricular activities and spare one-hour time daily in such activities besides normal studies, believing that only in a healthy body, can a healthy mind exist. Thus, we run Taekwondo club, Judo club, Basketball club, Art and Craft club, Dance Class, Vocal Class, Table Tennis Club, Cricket Club and Swimming Club.

Both English and Nepali Poetry recitation, elocution, quiz, speech and debate are regularly held in the form of competitions. Students are made to deliver speeches daily in the morning assembly in order to boost up their public speaking skills.

Extended Day Schooling


Students who require special attention are offered remedial classes before and after the school hours. There are also the facilities of food and care for the students who take remedial classes. These students are counseled off and on by the teachers & academic counselors.

Use Of Technology


For effective learning, the school uses various ways of integrating the use of information technology in the everyday learning processes. Digital technologies are also used to deliver lessons online to children when they are at home.

Whitefield school highly regards the meritious performance of diligent and industrious students. They are given optimum inspiration and opportunity to enhance their potentialities by providing scholarships. The scholarship is not limited only to academic caliber, it also transcends to the extra curricular activities. The school has been granting scholarship in honour of the following eminent personalities of our society to all the class toppers from grade V to grade XII every academic year with effect from 2057 B.S.
